Full Sail University Announces New Master of Fine Arts Degree in Media Design

WINTER PARK, FL, November 12, 2008 – Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu), announces their next degree, a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Media Design, a 12-month online program complete with cutting-edge curriculum tailored to prepare graduates to enter the fast-paced world of the design industry. Now enrolling, the class start date for this degree is February 2009, and will be the sixth online degree offering from Full Sail University.

This terminal degree is the highest level in its field and is classified as a non-traditional art degree. The program will therefore provide students with focused knowledge and understanding of design research, psychological and motivational theories, ethics of design, media design elements, and technology applications to enhance students’ ability to solve complex design problems in academic, entertainment, and corporate environments.

“The program teaches students the process of professional design workflow and resources to lead the field in new directions,” said Bill Galbreath, Program Director of Full Sail’s Graphic Design and Digital Arts and Design degrees for Full Sail University and who is leading the MFA program. “Our students will graduate ready to assume positions that require leadership, vision, and innovative design techniques, including the creative focus of people-centric design.”

Throughout the course of the program, students will be equipped with writing, time-management, and team-building skills to support them in the development and execution of compelling design solutions and enable them to meet today’s high demand for innovative digital content in the marketplace. The program culminates with students formally presenting a Design Solutions Project to a panel of professionals and their peers.
